This holiday shopping season, interior decorator Kate Marino is looking for a man who will adore her.

She’s determined not to think about the many sensuous ways she and architect Riley Carter celebrated the season a year ago when they spent much of December in bed. Especially since he didn’t try very hard to hold on to her when their relationship imploded.

She’s over him. Finally.

So what’s she supposed to do when he sublets the apartment next door to hers in beautiful downtown Charleston and announces he wants to be her friend? That can’t possibly be the only thing he wants, not when the heat between them is still blistering enough to light a fire.

Between dates with other men, she decides to call his bluff by being the sexiest friend this side of the Mason Dixon line. But her plan is about to backfire, because how can she say no to a man who has designs on her body when she realizes she has designs on his heart?
